School Council

The School Council are a group of children across Year 1 and Year 2, who are elected to represent their peers. It is an opportunity for the children to become involved with projects across the school first hand and share their views on how the school can be improved.

We believe that children's voices are important and as such they have been influential on changes we have made to the school. Last year the school council helped decide what equipment and resources we would like for our key stage one playground and led on our ‘Rights Respecting’ initiative, including leading an assembly. This year, our school council children will be leading our Kindness Ambassador Programme. This programme is about spreading kindness starting in our classrooms. We will also have the opportunity to become part of a wider network of Kindness Ambassadors from schools across the UK supported by the School of Kindness team.

Team Earth : Our Green Team in Action!

The School Team Earth is a group of passionate students working together to help our school become more environmentally friendly. Their mission is to promote sustainability and raise awareness about important environmental issues, from reducing waste to conserving energy. By leading eco-friendly projects and campaigns, Team Earth helps create a cleaner, greener school for everyone and also tries to help their local community. They encourage us all to take small steps that make a big difference for our planet—whether it's recycling/litter picking, saving water and electricity, or planting around school. 

Language Leaders

The Language Leaders play a vital role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our students and their families. They act as ambassadors for the school when a new child joins, creating a strong sense of belonging and a family away from home. The Language Leaders develop our language of the month where we celebrate and learn about our students multicultural heritage and the wide variety of languages we speak. They have the opportunity to help shape themed days and are provided with a forum to voice new ideas and promote them within the school.
