Florence Nightingale Workshop Year 2 - April 2025

On Wednesday this week Year 2 took part in a Florence Nightingale workshop. Year 2 have been learning about the History of Nursing and about the lives and legacies of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole—two pioneering women who transformed healthcare during the Crimean War. Through storytelling, role-play, and hands-on activities in this special workshop, the children gained a deeper understanding of the challenges these women faced and the lasting impact of their work on modern nursing. Their curiosity and thoughtful questions brought the topic to life and led to some fantastic classroom discussions. Please view our gallery to see more photos.
