HPPA

Who are HPPA?

HPPA is a friendly, inclusive group of parents and carers who together make up our parents and carers association. Our main focus is fundraising for both of the amazing schools in the partnership. We run school discos, host parent quizzes, sell pre-loved uniforms, organise school fairs, and much more to help raise money and enhance the experience of the children in our schools and the parents and carers in our school community. We also run and help fund lots of events and experiences for the children throughout the year, including visits from Father Christmas, the Easter bunny, and more!  We’re very busy working away to provide as much support as we can to our schools whilst making sure the children and parents have lots of fun!

Who runs HPPA?

Kim Vermaak is currently our HPPA Chair and leads HPPA across both schools and Parisha Thompson is Treasurer. We are currently looking for enthusiastic fundraising leaders for both the infants and juniors! If you're curious or would like to find out more, please reach out to Kim. We are also incredibly grateful to be supported by our wonderful team of event leads and volunteers. Regular PTA meetings will be held, and we will share dates with you very soon!

Talking Part in Events

We use an app called Classlist for PTA engagement and bookings (it has Google and ApplePay!) and is super easy to set up. Please download the Classlist app using the link below and create an account; it's really simple and only takes a couple of minutes. We’ll be using Classlist for all HPPA fundraisers this year, so don’t miss out!

Please note: Classlist is a community app, which means you will be able to find other carers / parents / children in your class and the wider school community and vice versa.

When signing up, the app will ask for some personal data (e.g., your phone number and address), but you can skip these questions; this data isn’t essential for sign-up. If you want, you can also remove this data if you entered it previously. If you click on your face/initials icon on the bottom right corner, you can select "View my profile as others can see it".  If you want to change your details, click ‘Edit my profile". You can also review Privacy settings under the ‘My Account’ part of the app. The privacy notice is also available on the Classlist website.

Classlist Groups

On joining Classlist, you will be added to 3 groups:

• a class group
• a group for your child’s year group
• a whole school group

HPPA will share updates and reminders in the relevant groups, e.g., information about a year group disco would be shared with that year group, and information about the summer fair would be shared with the whole school.

We would ask that only HPPA share updates on the year group and whole school groups.

Class Reps

Each class has reps to help with reminders for parents and carers (it’s PE day, times of Christmas concert, etc.) and help to organise class socials. When you join Classlist, you will be added to a class for your child/children. Reps are appointed in September, and you can put yourself forward then.
